Educated region, brighter future

Via Carpatia EGTC has been actively operating in the Slovak–Hungarian border region since
2013 and has implemented numerous successful projects, both regionally and internationally.
Over the past 12 years, it has participated in consortia worth 40 million euros, with its own
projects implemented at a value of 20 million euros, creating over 1,100 workplaces and
collaborating with more than 700 partners. In terms of staff size, it is one of the largest
EGTCs.

Education and the acquisition of new knowledge have always been central to the organization.
In a constantly changing world, it is essential that both employees and the people living in the
region continue to develop while preserving and nurturing core values.

The “Educated Region, Brighter Future” project aims to engage stakeholders in rural and
regional development – including local governments, entrepreneurs, civil society
organizations, and community initiatives – and provide them with training and development
programs to strengthen the region’s socio-economic growth and collaborative networks.

Within the project, we will organize training days and develop related educational materials,
with each day focusing on a specific topic in regional development. Participants will gain both
theoretical knowledge and practical examples to successfully implement local development
initiatives. Each training day will involve at least 20 participants, reaching approximately 160
individuals by the end of the project.

The project was implemented with the support of the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs
and Trade.
