ETT-26 – Via Carpatia EGTC After 2027

The Via Carpatia EGTC aims to strengthen cross-border cooperation and support economic,
social, and territorial cohesion in Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County, Košice Region, and the
wider area. Our activities focus on sustainable development, innovation, and joint initiatives
to enhance the region’s competitiveness.

Upon the organization’s establishment in 2013, a unified strategy was developed, setting out
the principles of EGTC operations and its development priorities. In 2020, responding to
changing conditions, we updated our goals through the “Via Carpatia EGTC 2020+ Integrated
Territorial Strategy,” enabling us to respond flexibly to regional needs.

Preparing for the next programming period, a new strategy is now required to address the
current geopolitical context and emerging challenges. The “Via Carpatia EGTC After 2027”
project defines the organization’s future direction, development priorities, and cooperation
areas, ensuring sustainable and coordinated regional development while maximizing grant
opportunities.

The project was implemented with the support of the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs
and Trade.
