The “Educated region, brighter future” project successfully completed

With the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, we implemented
the project titled “Educated region, brighter future,” aimed at contributing to the development
of rural areas, with a particular focus on Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County.
Throughout the project, we successfully reached and actively engaged mayors, entrepreneurs,
and other local stakeholders from the region. We organized a series of educational events,
during which we shared practical knowledge and useful information across eight key thematic
areas: local traditions, regional and rural development, community culture, climate change,
local value registries, circular economy, funding opportunities in the Slovak–Hungarian
border region, and funding opportunities from structural funds.
The project created space for the exchange of experiences, new inspiration, and the
development of concrete solutions for local community development. Participants particularly
appreciated the practical focus of the events, as well as the opportunity to establish new
partnerships and collaborations.
We are pleased to have achieved the project’s objectives: strengthening local communities,
supporting cooperation, and helping participants better navigate development and funding
opportunities. We believe that the knowledge and connections gained will have a lasting
positive impact on the region’s development.
We would like to thank all partners, participants, and collaborators who contributed to the
successful implementation of the project.
